the most popular travel destination in england is the city of london, however the kingdom has a lot more to offer. the purpose of this trip is to highlight the destinations eastbourne and brighton located in East Sussex.

The Social media blogger tour for Visit Britain was produced between 13th of July 2017 –17th of July 2017. Martin Solhaugen was one of the influencer approached by Visit Britain with the creative brief of producing social media content over a time span of 5 days. The concept was based of trying to show Millennial's a variety of places in England which could be visited and enjoyed.
Martin Solhaugen, Astrid Kirknes and Just Andreas left Oslo on the 13th of July 2017. The first two days was spent in Brighton the last two in Eastbourne. Visit Britain had pre arranged accommodation, restaurant and activities for the team. The activities were mostly targeted to fit the personality and vibe of the team which is why adrenaline and fun was more in focus than culture and art.
During the trip Martin and Just worked with content delivery of photos and videos. Having a diverse team proved to be the key to success on a tight schedule. With close daily communication with Visit Britain HQ The Team had specific tasks on what attractions and content to capture in each of the cities. Martin focused on the Video aspect as a new video blog was to be produced every single day. The content was delivered with ease and could be enjoyed by their combined network of 100,000 people the next day.
On Instagram and Snapchat their follower base got first hand videos and photos of the attractions and cities. On youtube the subscribers could follow along every day.
The benefits of having both females and males along for the trip were many. The team could focus on the fact that this was a place that offered activities suited for both parts. All in all both parts offer a larger depth to the story line which could be shown in the daily videos produced.
Both Eastbourne and Brighton are beautiful cities filled with action and history. Visit Britain did an amazing job with planing the trip for the team. Finding a piece of history and charm in each of the cities proved to be easy with the help of on-site contacts and people willing to help. The influencer strategy combined with a blogger tour program is an interesting concept which should be adopted by more nations and countries in the world. The power of sharing travel is something that delivers genuine and real experiences, more power-full then any commerical message.
