The Social media concept Norwegian Adventure was produced between 5th of August 2017 – 11th of August 2017. Martin Solhaugen approached his best friend Kim Sørensen with the creative brief of producing social media content over a time span of 6 days. The concept was based of trying to show the ultimate Road trip between two best friends in the beautiful landscapes of Norway. The challenges were present from the very beginning as the team was to produce daily video blogs ready for the world to view the following day.
Due to a tight schedule and long distances to cover Martin and Kim spent long hours of pre planing the trip. Starting of in Oslo the team would drive stretches of 7 hours every day to reach the destinations. Along the route were iconic places such as Trollveggen, Trollstigen, Geirangerfjorden, Trolltunga, Tyssedal, Preikestolen, Lysefjorden, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Kragerø.
Along the route Kim worked as a brilliant coordinator having full overview of the route, destinations and time schedule while Martin focused on the Video aspect as a new video blog was to be produced every single day. The content was delivered with ease and could be enjoyed by their combined network of 100,000 people the next day.
On Instagram and Snapchat the follower base got first hand Instagram stories and whereabouts as the team was progressing through the fjords and mountainsides. The follower base would interact with the route as it went along, giving the two tips and comments to what worked and not. The concept was well received by Martins Youtube following who seemed to appreciate the genuine and raw film that the two produced.

Five months has passed since the Norwegian Adventure was produced and the team has gathered
to reflect on the concept. What worked, and what did not?
Martin Solhaugen, Creative Director and Producer says:
"The Norwegian Adventure was such a great concept for me to produce. There are few people in the world that make me laugh as much as Kim. The entire series is focused around the real and raw. We also ended up making a lot of the concept up as we went along. The concept is a great combination of the two of us, what happens when two crazy best friends gets jammed up in a car together for 6 days. Personally, I would say this production sets the bar for what type of content I want to produce. For future note to myself I would say “Don’t do daily vlogs while recording such a massive production.” – Take your time, let the magic happen."
Kim Sørensen, Coordinator and Photographer says:
"Everything was properly planned out from the beginning. A lot of things, including pictures and videos was produced and directed on the go. We never knew where we were going to sleep. We just ended up finding the perfect spots to camp. The biggest challenge was time. We had a tight schedule and long distances to drive. The Norwegian Adventure was a ride of new experiences and great friendship. You get to know your friend even better. I can’t wait to do more content creations like this!"
